Adventure Guides

Get ready to go on an adventure with the Y. Adventure Guides is a program that launches dads and their children on a journey of discovery, with the child as the explorer and the dad as the guide. Adventure Guides encourages dads to get to know your kid while your kid is still a kid with group activities such as games, crafts, songs, stories, skits, ceremonies, and outdoor pursuits such as camping, hiking and swimming. The one-on-one time in a fun, special environment builds important bonds through shared experiences.

Not only will you build a solid foundation for a lifetime friendship, but you’ll also help build and develop a set of skills and patterns that your children will carry with them into adolescence and adulthood.

Who Can Participate?

The Adventure Guides program is open to fathers and their children, ages 5-12. You must attend all the program activities together.

How Circles are Formed

Circles generally consist of six to 10 pairs of  father and children from the same school, neighborhood, church or other group. The Y will assist in forming circles as needed.
