The Guthrie YMCA  began in 1996 with several programs. In 2000, a grand opening was held when a small facility was opened in downtown Guthrie. In 2003, the Guthrie Y moved to a full service fitness facility. The fitness center has cardiovascular equipment, Cybex strength training equipment, free weights, group exercise classes, a teen game center, locker rooms, music and TVs, and a child watch area for children up to 7 years of age for parents to utilize while they're exercising. A Day Camp program provides care during the summer months.
